Safety Standards

    Last updated: 8 July 2026

At Maa Nest (“Maa Nest”, “we”, “us”, “our”), child safety, trust, privacy, and responsible caregiving are our highest priorities.

These Safety Standards (“Standards”) outline the safety expectations, responsibilities, operational safeguards, and platform practices that apply to all Parents, Guardians, Family Members, Caregivers, and users of Maa Nest.

By using Maa Nest, you agree to comply with these Safety Standards.

    1. Child Safety Priority

    All users must prioritise:

    • Child wellbeing
    • Active supervision
    • Safe interactions
    • Responsible conduct
    • Emergency preparedness

Any behaviour that may place a child at risk may result in immediate suspension, permanent platform removal, and reporting to authorities where required.

    1.1 Women Caregiver Safety Commitment

Maa Nest currently operates as a women-only caregiver platform and is committed to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for women Caregivers. Caregivers may immediately report:

    • Harassment
    • Unsafe environments
    • Threats
    • Sexual misconduct
    • Boundary violations
    • Discrimination

Maa Nest may investigate such reports and take appropriate action.

    2. Caregiver Verification Measures

To improve platform safety, Maa Nest may require Caregivers to complete:

    • Mobile OTP verification
    • Identity verification
    • DigiLocker / KYC verification
    • Educational verification
    • Face verification / liveness checks
    • Re-verification procedures where necessary

Verification helps reduce fraud and improve trust but does not guarantee character, conduct, personality compatibility, future behaviour, or clinical expertise. Parents should independently assess suitability before bookings.

    3. Parent Verification Measures

Parents may be required to complete mobile verification, identity verification, DigiLocker / KYC verification, and relationship-declaration verification. Maa Nest may restrict access where verification is incomplete or suspicious activity is detected.

    4. Face Verification & Identity Protection

Maa Nest may use selfie verification, facial-similarity checks, liveness detection, and device monitoring to prevent impersonation, reduce fake accounts, improve account security, and enhance child safety. Failure to complete verification may limit platform access.

    5. Safe Environment Expectations

Parents are responsible for providing a reasonably safe environment for children, Caregivers, and sessions conducted through Maa Nest. Unsafe conditions may include:

    • Violence
    • Threatening behaviour
    • Illegal activity
    • Severe intoxication
    • Unsafe premises
    • Harassment

Caregivers may immediately leave unsafe situations without penalty.

    5.1 Emergency Exit Rights

Caregivers may terminate or leave a booking immediately where they reasonably believe there is:

    • Harassment
    • Sexual misconduct
    • Violence
    • Illegal activity
    • Severe intoxication
    • Threats to safety
    • Unsafe premises

Emergency exits from unsafe environments shall not automatically be treated as misconduct.

    6. Active Child Supervision

Caregivers must maintain active supervision, avoid negligence, monitor children responsibly, follow disclosed care instructions, and respond appropriately during emergencies. Children should never be knowingly left unattended in unsafe circumstances.

    6.1 Mandatory Safety Reporting

Users are encouraged to immediately report child abuse, child neglect, unsafe childcare practices, serious injuries, endangerment concerns, and suspicious conduct. Maa Nest may cooperate with authorities where legally required.

    7. Emergency Response Standards

In emergencies, Caregivers may contact Parents, contact emergency contacts, seek emergency medical help, and contact emergency services where reasonably necessary for immediate child safety.

Parents remain responsible for medical decisions, hospital expenses, and emergency treatment costs. Maa Nest is not a medical provider and does not guarantee medical outcomes.

    8. Medical & Clinical Limitations

Unless separately certified and approved, Caregivers may NOT:

    • Diagnose illnesses
    • Administer injections
    • Conduct medical procedures
    • Prescribe medication
    • Provide clinical treatment

Caregivers may provide only basic first aid, immediate safety assistance, and emergency response support.

    8.1 Medication Restrictions

Caregivers shall not administer medication unless it is explicitly instructed by the Parent, within their competence, lawfully permitted, or required in an emergency. Parents remain responsible for medication-related decisions.

    9. Privacy & Confidentiality Safety

Users must protect confidential information, including:

    • Child information
    • Home addresses
    • Phone numbers
    • Medical information
    • Family details
    • Booking details

Unauthorised sharing, recording, or publication is prohibited.

    9.1 Child Privacy Protection

Users shall not share child photographs publicly, publish child names without authorisation, reveal child medical information, disclose child schedules, or distribute childcare-related sensitive information. Child privacy is considered a critical safety obligation.

    10. CCTV & Recording Disclosure

Parents must disclose CCTV cameras, audio-recording devices, and monitoring systems. Hidden surveillance intended to invade privacy is prohibited.

Caregivers may not record children or families, capture photos or videos without authorisation, or share booking-related content online.

    11. Communication Safety

Users should communicate respectfully and professionally. Maa Nest may monitor platform communications for fraud prevention, child safety, policy enforcement, and security investigations. Off-platform arrangements may reduce Maa Nest’s ability to provide safety support.

    12. Anti-Harassment & Misconduct Policy

Maa Nest maintains zero tolerance for:

    • Harassment
    • Abuse
    • Threats
    • Exploitation
    • Discrimination
    • Sexual misconduct

Violations may result in immediate suspension, permanent bans, and legal escalation where required.

Maa Nest maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward child abuse, grooming behaviour, exploitation, human trafficking, violence, sexual misconduct, and criminal conduct. Violations may be reported to authorities.

    13. Incident Reporting

Users should immediately report child safety concerns, injuries, harassment, emergencies, suspicious behaviour, fraud attempts, and policy violations through official Maa Nest support channels. Delayed reporting may affect investigations.

    13.1 Reporting Timeline

Users are encouraged to report serious incidents within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible.

    14. Platform Monitoring & Fraud Prevention

Maa Nest may monitor booking activity, device activity, verification status, communication patterns, fraud indicators, and suspicious behaviour for child safety, operational integrity, platform security, and compliance purposes.

Parents and Caregivers remain responsible for exercising reasonable judgement and precautions.

    16. Account Suspension for Safety Reasons

Maa Nest may suspend accounts, cancel bookings, restrict access, request additional verification, or permanently remove users where safety concerns, fraud, misconduct, or policy violations are suspected.

    17. Cooperation With Authorities

Maa Nest may cooperate with law enforcement, child-protection authorities, emergency responders, and regulatory authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary for safety purposes.

    18. Policy Updates
